when mending ends up costing more that letting go, that is when we let go... anyways, that is how i do things :)
(as an aside - we don't see shoemakers stores as much anymore .. that makes me sad)

I MISS shoe-cobblers. The town I grew up in had one, up until the day he died......and stayed amazingly busy. I miss walking by his tiny storefront on the way to school every morning and afternoon. I had forgotten until you mentioned.  :)
